İbrahim Gençyılmaz

I graduated top of my class from the Civil Engineering Department of Akdeniz University in 2023 and went on to complete my master’s degree in Structural Engineering at the same university. My academic work focused on structural behaviour, steel structures and optimum design.

Throughout my career I have worked on projects of varying scale in Turkey and abroad, covering steel, reinforced concrete, light-gauge steel, timber, hybrid and modular structural systems. The experience gained from more than 1,500 structural project reviews at the Chamber of Civil Engineers now feeds directly into structural design, technical consultancy, optimisation and engineering software development.

The elegance of a structure comes from the legibility of its load-bearing system. Where a column stands, how a beam carries load, how a span is crossed — all of it is part of the architectural language. That is why I never leave structural analysis to the end of a project; the design begins with it.
